Xhezair Zaganjori, candidate for President
The direct negotiators of the majority for finding the names that will
run for president, have put in circulation a list headed by Xhezair
Zaganjori, apparently the main candidate of the Democratic Party. It
will be seen in the first voting session if this name will resist.
The list has names from justice and diplomacy, including even the name of the Bank Governor, Ardian Fullani, although he insists that he is keener to resolve the economic problems, rather than the political ones.
There are eight names of diplomats, some of whom are closely related with the Socialist Movement for Integration leader, Ilir Meta, and others with Berisha.
As regards the judges, they are well known names in the International Rights, representatives of Albania at the Human Right Court in Strasbourg.
The Democratic Parliament Group leader, Astrit Patozi, declared that these candidacies will test the opposition’s good will.
The voting session will be held at 10:00, but it seems that it will be a formality, because a government meeting was scheduled at 11:00.
But who is Xhezair Zaganjori?
He was graduated at the Tirana Justice Faculty in 1981, and since then he has been a professor in Public International Rights, European Rights and Human Rights, at the Tirana University, the Magistrate School and the school of European Studies.
