The Parliamentary Commission of the Judiciary Reform will have 15 members, with the majority coming from the ruling party.

“We are ready to offer consensus, time and space for everyone, especially the opposition. But we must not forget that this reform cannot be delayed any longer”, Fatmir Xhafa declared.

“The reform will be thorough and we will not hesitate to amend the Constitution for it”, the Chairman of the Commission added.

“This reform will guarantee the instruments that are needed for not letting the rule of law, the prosecution and justice in the hands of a bad prosecutor or judge”, declared the chairman of the Commission of Laws.

Besides the opposition there will be other forums of experts, who, according to Fatmir Xhafa, will have their necessary time to be heard.

The members of the Party for Justice, Integration and Unity from the opposition were present in this Parliamentary session, and voted against this draft law. However, they voted in favor of the amends to the Parliamentary Regulation, the Ombudsman and for the Supreme State Audit.
