Fraud with asylum in Germany. Police action at the Vlore port

Many people from the villages of Vlore have bought a travel ticket to
Germany with the promise that they will receive a pension after
arriving.

“I have hopes to go to Germany. There are people from Novosela and Fier who want to go. They guarantee only the trip to Italy. We don’t know where we will end up”, one of them says.

Most of them who wanted to travel are villagers from Novosela, Vlore, or other villages from Fier and Elbasan, where word has spread that there is an easy immigration option to Germany, now that the visa regime has been lifted.

“I am from Vlore. We will all go to Germany, as a family”, one teenager says.

This seems to be simply a method to increase the profits of those who realize the transportation. This phenomenon is spread through southern Albania and they are not leaving only through Vlore. Their goal is to receive asylum in Germany, an impossible mission due to strict rules of the European Union.

Similar cases have been verified even in Macedonia, where buses with immigrants have been returned from Germany and Belgium by the authorities.

The police has been informed about this not only in Vlore, but in all border checkpoints. The travelers are being inspected by the police.

From 14 buses in Vlore, 5 have Germany as destination. The travelers are being interviewed by verifying the destination and the invitation, in order to find the network that is defrauding these people.

The General Crime Police has sent specialists in Vlore, while yesterday, in Durres, police stopped 50 people from traveling.

Their return caused debates and those people who were returned asked for their ticket money back. The leaders of the agency says they are sending the travelers to Milan, but the tickets are paid to Munich.

“We take tickets for one way only. This flux was caused after my correct behavior with the people and the good work, not because of something else,”, declared Agim Muca, owner of the agency.

Police has taken him for interrogation, since many of the travelers had bought a ticket at his agency.
