61 gas stations have been fined by the technical inspectorate after they
started selling bad quality oil to consumers. Some of them didn’t have
the respective technical-legal documentation.

The Central Technical Institution published the list of these subjects and the fines that start from 2 million all for those who defraud consumers, and 100.000 ALL for those who don’t have the respective documentation.

Only for November, the Central Technical Institution has fined 43 companies, 12 of which due to problems with the flashing point and the sulfur percentage. In 31 other cases, the Central Technical Institution found a lack of technical-legal documentation. During December, after some inspections carried out by the Oil and Gas Inspections Directory, 18 gas stations were fined.

Seven of these cases had problems with the flashing point and the sulfur percentage, while in 11 other cases there has been a lack in the documentation.

The list published by the Central Technical Institution shows that the gas stations that trade bad quality oil are not only in the suburbs, but also inside cities. The Inspectorate will continue with the inspections and will punish any abusive case.
