Stopping abuses with oil, Rama: National assets belong to people

Four ministries and the institutions depending from them will be
involved in an oepration for inspecting the fuel quality, an operation
similar to the one the government undertook for the energy theft. The
Ministries of Finances, Economy and Energy will receive support from the
police.
“Gas stations have been distributed in an unorganized and unplanned way. It will always be a real challenge for the inspection. This inspection will be harsher, more detailed and with more punitive measures”, declared Minister Damian Gjiknuri.
The four ministries will cooperate to end what Prime Minsiter Rama considered a spectacular deceit of the people with the fuel price.
“Fuels have been receiving other substances for more profit to the sellers, causing a colossal nation-wide damage to families and the environment, and it also hurts the lungs of the Albanian people”, Rama declared.
The government leader declared that the operation doesn’t aim to increase the revenues for the government budget.
“Our goal is to protect all Albanians who use oil. By protecting them we will protect Albania from the usage of an oil that is outside the standars and that can turn into a poison for the lungs”, rama declared.
Rama said that this operation will bring to an end the exploitation of the underground assets that in the past eight years has been given to companies that have only degraded it.
