The Albanian Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, showed the the
proportions of corruption in the judiciary, which, according to him,
have returned in the system.

“I have followed the public comments on some court verdicts and same as you, I want to ask why do we see someone condemned for painting his house without a permit, but officials who legalize an entire floor that didn’t exist at all, don’t go through any sanction? Why those who steal energy are condemned, but tax officials who stole 6 million EUR are not punished? What must happen so that we finally come together and protest against those who don’t get punished? Or is justice different for the poor or the rich?”, Tahiri declared.

On the other hand, when the involvement of youth in criminality is concerning, the Minister of Interior, Saimi Tahiri, chose an activity organized by three ministries to give the message that our society must work with this work-group so that they are kept far from crime.

“How many young people do we see on Facebook with weapons and drugs? There are thousands of examples”, Tahiri declared.

Schools, social service and police aim to be together in this initiative that might help preventing crime among youth.
