The Italian 35-year-old, Salvatore Lettizia, one of the persons arrested
for the triple murder in Tirana, appeared today in court after killing
three people together with Klevis and Markelian Doci. Lettizia was left
in prison until trial.

The Judge of the Serious Crimes Court asked Lettizia about his past. He admitted of being sentenced for drug traffic. The Prosecutor declared that the triple murder was a gang retaliation.

Mentor Lufi escaped a murder attempt in Netherlands, in December 2014. Lufi’s nephews, Klevis and Markelian Doci, revenged this attack with the murder of Durim Sulku. The brother of the victim, Besnik Sulku, contacted Salvatore Lettizia to kull Mentor Lufi, who had his two nephews as bodyguards.

Lufi fell in an ambush this Wednesday. He was shot by two masked men, Salvatore Lettizia and Besnik Sulku, who killed Lufi and Goxhaj. Lufi’s nephews followed Sulku and killed him a few meters from the crime scene.

Salvatore Lettizia tried to hide in a hotel, but he was caught with the same clothes described by witnesses, and also with a picture of the victim in his pocket.
