The Supreme Court found guilty for slander the Democratic Party MPs,Edi
Paloka and Arben Ristani. They were fined with 200.000 ALL, but were
found not guilty for the offense charges.
Paloka declared: “Rama is known for using hard drugs and the court didn’t accept to make a drug test on him. They didn’t even accept to hear the phone information. I am not accusing the court, because I can understand their pressure. I will respect the court verdict and pay the fine”.
Paloka insisted that all of his accusations still stand.
The lawyer of Edi Rama declared that this verdict will bring a new practice between the parties.
After the decision of the Supreme Court, both Parliament Members lost their right to be reelected. Now it is up to the Parliament decision, if they will decide to interrupt the terms of Paloka and Ristani.
