USA: Institutions must certify elections as soon as possible

The US Embassy to Albania appealed all Albanian institutions to certify
the results as soon as possible. In a declaration for the media, the
embassy says that the June 21st elections were peaceful.
“The US congratulate the Albanian citizens for voting peacefully for the June 21st elections. The ballot count is on and we appeal institutions to certify them as soon as possible”, the embassy says.
The US Embassy values that no major incidents or violent acts were registered on the election day.
“We supoprt the OSCE/ODIHR preliminary results and we share their concern for the purchase of votes, claims for pressure on voters, politicized institutions and other irregularities. We encourage the government and political parties to work and treat these findings and other recommendations of ODIHR”, the declaration says.
