The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared in a meeting with
foreign diplomats and experts that education is the first priority of
his government.

“Education is the first priority of a society, but that has been treated as the last one in the past years. Education is important for our children, that’s why we have started undertaking deep reforms which will continue until the end of our mandate”, Rama declared.

The Prime Minister valued the Minister of Education, Lindita Nikolla: “I am proud to have the chance to work with a Minister who leads the reforms with deep conviction”, Rama declared.

Rama underlined the closing of private universities that had turned into diploma factories, and promised to return the education into a competing sector that will include the private entrepreneurship too.
