The Minister of Finances, Shkelqim Cani, introduced the new Director of Customs, Pranvera Fagu (Behishi).
“The government has no intention to raise taxes, but we want to collect the revenues correctly by respecting the duties and by insisting to not allow in the administration those who are not part of this commitment”, Cani declared.
The Minister of Finances said that the Ministry and the institutions led by them are planning a careful plan for improving the tax revenues in customs. This will be followed by a wide national fight against informality.
The Albanian Customs Service has created a deficit as compared to the planned indicators. Besides cigarettes, all other products are more expensive than the same period one year ago.
