Building democracy and reconciliation are the two messages of the
President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz. He met with the
Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, and valued the achievements of
Albania in the EU integration road.
Schulz said that he expects Albania to progress with the rule of law and its all elements, including a deep reformation of the judiciary and the establishing of an European culture of political dialogue.
In the regional context, Albania keeps playing a very positive role for the building of a constructive and reconciliating dialogue.
These elements will increase the credibility and role of Albania in the region and also as regards the EU, and Albania has an excellent potential to achieve this.
President Nishani expressed his commitment for realizing the judiciary reform. He guaranteed everyone for his personal commitment to focus on the integration agenda in response of the huge expectancies that the Albanian citizens have for this process.
Nishani guaranteed that Albania will remain a credible partner of the EU and will keep coordinating its security policies with the EU.
