Gjiri i Lalzit is one of the biggest beaches in Durres, mostly with
one-day visitors from Tirana and other cities around. Despite the
constant promises from the local government, public beaches are missing
even this year.
Despite the lives that have been lost during the years, beach guards are still absent. The only function of the watch towards for the moment is that of providing shadow to holiday makers.
However, the leased private beaches have improved the hygiene and commodity notably. However, there are no public toilets besides the private ones, no public showers or even changing rooms.
