Athens promptly reacted after the Dhërmi church demolition by Albanian authorities, comparing the action to ISIS destruction of world heritage sites in Iraq and Syria. Greek Foreign Ministry spokesman, Konstandinos Kutras, said this action will have repercussions for Albania in bilateral and international relations.
Top Channel learned Athens intends to summon the Albanian ambassador there and very soon Tirana will receive a letter of protest about the matter. Since ambassador Dervishi is not in Greece, Albanian envoy Edlira Mërkuri will represent him in the meeting.
