The Albanian Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, spoke about the
accusations launched by the opposition against him regarding the drug
traffic.
Tahiri told the opposition that the situation is different, since the police has destroyed 96% of the cannabis planted terrains during 2015.
The Minister said they are not happy about the current situation, since the airplane caught in Italy could have taken the drugs from Albania. But he said that the accusations of the opposition against the police are absurd.
The Democratic Party MP, Astrit Patozi, answered to the declarations and said that the opposition will not withdraw from their stance. He asked Minister Tahiri to resign.
