Judiciary reform, President: “Impartial, not transparent”

In a special letter addressed to the special commission for judiciary
reform, President Bujar Nishani asked the involvement of the President
in this process that, according to him, has been avoided.
In a long analyze of the judiciary reform, the President says the process has no transparency. “There is a lack of tarnsparency for direct actors and the public too. There is also a wide discussion for guaranteeing security, a successful implementation and longevity”, the President says in his letter.
Nishani added that the President’s institution has not been the organizer of any of the meetings, and that the commission’s decision itself says they will cooperate with the Ministry of Justice under the President’s care.
