Drinking water in Tirana stabilized

The Tirana Aqueduct experts said the drinking water supply has been
stabilized after the Bovilla Implant was repaired, but problems are not
over yet.
“The Bovilla implant is working with maximal capacity. We must understand that these are lost cubic meters. We need another day for putting everything in order for every area of the city”, said Artan Emiri, Bovilla Implant Director.
The heavy rains of this Sunday threw huge amounts of mud and water in the collectors, damaging the water quality.
The Tirana Directors say there is still another difficult day, while vice Director Arber Mazniku said the rains of this Wednesday might repeat the situation of this Sunday.
The Municipality is working to clean the system, but this is not enough to handle precipitations like those of this Sunday.
