Martin Shkreli, the most hated man of Albanian origin in the USA affter
th raised the price of a medicament from 13.5 USD to 750 USD, was
arrested for tax violations in the past through a government founded by
him. The news for Shkreli’s arrest was given by Bloomberg.
However, the case against him is not related to the increased price of the medicament. He is accused of illegally taking shares of Retrophin Inc, a bio-tech company he had founded in 2011 and used to pay debts of other businesses.
Shkreli was removed from the company and was sued by its board of being involved in illegal movements after the company lost millions. He is suspected of making secret payments and realizing fraud schemes.
The son of Albanian and Croatian immigrants who used to work as cleaners and who brought him up in Brooklin, is also a stain in the idea of the American dream.
After showing exceptional talent and dropping out of school in a young age, an elite high-school in Manhatan, Shkreli made his way into Wall Street before he was 20.
His name became notorious after increasing with 55 times the price of a medicament for treating toxoplasma, used by patients with HIV and cancer.
