Hahn: “Decriminalization increases public officials’ integrity”

The European Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, said that the
decriminalization law passed yesterday in Parliament is expected to
increase the rule of law.
By welcoming the newly adopted law, the EU Commissioner says that dialogue between parties is the best way to realize reforms.
“The EU underlines that Albania is facing a huge number of delicate challenges and reforms, which require constructive dialogue between political parties. The progress with the agenda of this reform is very important for the country to progress in its EU path and guarantee founded rule of law”, Hahn says.
